Years after leaving her actress life behind, Ellen Adarna continues to carve her own path according to her rules. She is an advocate for wellness, as evidenced by her business ventures and even on her social media feed, which is filled with snippets of her family life, travel snapshots, and things she is passionate about.
During a recent Q&A session on her Instagram stories, one follower noted how Ellen doesn’t share luxury items “like others,” referring to her celebrity peers. The follower also expressed admiration for this side of Ellen.
She addressed the comment saying, “I’m not going to lie, I’m not going to be a hypocrite. I do have some pieces but it is not my job… I’m not a luxury influencer. Not unless I’m being paid or it’s my job, then I’m gonna post some pictures and videos–but I am not.”
“So for me it’s weird if I rampa [and] post [stuff like] Chanel… What for? What do I have to prove?”
Aside from that, she also shared that she’d rather focus on non-material things: “‘Cuz at the end of the day, what really matters is: Who am I without those things? Without the material things? Without the status? Who am I really? What matters to me [are] things that I cannot bring with me to the grave.”
A look at the 35-year-old celebrity’s Instagram feed will show that she has indeed been investing her time in her family, her own well-being, and her work.
The actress-turned-entrepreneur founded her own lifestyle brand called E11ven, which curates wellness solutions she personally believes in.
She has also been balancing her responsibilities as a mother to her 5-year-old son Elias and as a wife to Derek Ramsey. The two have been married for almost 2 years.
