ICYDK, Southeast Asia is finally getting its first Disney Cruise in 2025. Dubbed the Disney Adventure, the region's first Disney Cruise experience has us all waiting in anticipation as more details about the newest IRL dose of Disney magic are being rolled out. And from what we know so far, it's definitely worth checking out whether you're a first-timer or an avid cruiser!
Ahead, we list down what's in store for you when you book your cruise in Singapore this 2025.
Everything We Know So Far About the Upcoming Disney Cruise Adventure Coming to Southeast Asia this 2025
Set to sail in 2025 from Marina Bay Cruise Centre, Singapore—its home port for the next five years at least—the Disney Adventure features a variety of experiences, shows, restaurants, retail stores, rooms, and spaces dedicated to telling stories inspired by fantasy, discovery, and adventure. The ship will host a ton of Disney Cruise firsts not only for Asia but across all Disney cruise lines.
"The Disney Adventure is the destination," is how Sarah Fox, Vice President and Regional General Manager - Asia for Disney Cruise Line, described the experience aboard Southeast Asia's first-ever Disney Cruise. Unlike other Disney Cruises, The Disney Adventure will not have stopovers in different ports across the region, a usual cruise feature that won't be missed thanks to all the activities on board.
According to Fox, The Disney Adventure was curated such that it would resonate with different members of the Asia-Pacific region. It features merchandise, story-telling, food choices, and hidden easter eggs aboard the ship that'll spark wonder to the different nationalities coming aboard in Asia. "The Disney Adventure promises a distinctly Disney Cruise Experience, with unique Asian experiences," adds Fox.
The Different Areas Aboard the Disney Adventure
The Disney Adventure is going to be massive. Disney Cruise Line estimates the passenger capacity of the 208,000-gross-ton Disney Adventure to be approximately 6,700, with around 2,500 crew members.
On board this ship, passengers of all ages and backgrounds will enjoy various Disney, Pixar, and Marvel-themed activities, restaurants, shops, and shows scattered across seven immersive themed spaces on the ship as teased by Portfolio Executive Creative Director for Disney Cruise Line at Walt Disney Imagineering Laura Cabo.
These immersive areas aboard the ship are the Disney Imagination Garden, a vast open-air performance venue where tons of characters will be "flying" about; the Disney Discovery Reef, a sea-themed shopping and dining mecca; San Fransokyo Street, a vibrant street market zone; the picturesque Wayfinder Bay; Magic of Fantasy Town Square, the home of your favorite Disney Princesses; Marvel Landing, Tony Stark and the Avenger's playground and the whimsical and interactive Toy Story Place.
The liner is going to be laid out like a treasure map, with the different themed areas working hand in hand with the ship to bring Disney storytelling to life-kind of like a floating Disneyland if you ask us. But instead of having thrilling rides and grand parades, Disney Adventures boasts a balance of fun and relaxation through different Broadway-calibre shows, lounge areas, spas, Disney-themed rooms, global, casual, and upscale dining, and a whole bunch of other cruise amenities.
Each immersive area on the Disney Adventure features a specific theme in line with the part of the ship it is on. For example, Wayfinder Bay located on the ship's deck features "the place where the sky meets the sea"-a nod to its inspiration in Moana. This area boasts the best views on the entire ship.
There's also Toy Story Place located on the upper decks of the ship featuring a whole slew of interactive water areas where-you have been warned-you will get wet. Or San Fransokyo Street where a vast family entertainment center complete with games, activities, cinemas, shops, and more.
While we're all excited to see more of the ship, there isn't a lot of information and visuals readily available to sate our need to know more. But recently, Disney Cruise Line dropped more information about the Disney Imagination Garden, one of the seven immersive areas onboard Disney Adventure.
The Disney Imagination Garden
One of the first areas guests will be able to interact with during their Disney Cruise experience is the Disney Imagination Garden, located in the ship's central hub.
Cabo has dubbed this area the "heart and soul of the ship." It will be home to a vibrant, open-air garden set against a three-deck-tall, stunning storybook castle art piece-a first-of-its-kind onboard any Disney Cruise Line ship.
The Disney Imagination Garden's design is reminiscent of a classic pop-up storybook. The entire area will be filled with landscapes styled like paper cut-outs, including decorative foliage of blooming flowers, shaped topiaries, tall trees, and cascading vines, all among scenic props like towering trellises and twinkling lanterns. Guests should also be on the lookout for popular characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories scattered all around.
On the opposite side of the larger-than-life storybook castle will be the Garden Stage, where Disney stories go from reel to real. A slew of Disney Entertainment-branded programs consisting of character appearances and high-energy shows like the Avengers Assemble!, an action-packed Marvel Super Hero-versus-Villain stage show featuring lots of stunts and special effects.
Directly in front of the stage will be an open lawn area leading to a large staircase that will double as amphitheater-style seating, perfect for enjoying live entertainment on the Garden Stage.
The Disney Imagination Garden will also be home to two quick-service dining outlets and a bar inspired by The Jungle Book and Moana. Each eatery will feature options for indoor and outdoor seating with views of the Garden Stage for those who love to watch shows while they dine.
The different rooms and services aboard the Disney Adventure
After a busy day of adventures, thrills, and activities, families can retreat to their rooms decked out in special Disney touches and family-friendly conveniences.
The Disney Adventure has a range of room types, including those boasting beautiful ocean vistas, scenic views of the ship's spectacular promenades, and even first-of-its-kind garden view rooms with a verandah and stunning views of the Disney Imagination Garden.
Dedicated concierge services will also be available to the guests which will provide premium assistance that will include booking access to exclusive areas and amenities such as a private indoor lounge, an expansive sundeck with shaded pool and whirlpools, high-end shopping venues, and first-class spa and fitness facilities.
Pricing and packages for the Disney Adventure Cruise in Singapore:
Though a lot of the details about pricing, packages, and booking dates are still kept under wraps, Disney Cruise executives did tease that packages for the Disney Adventure will be available for three or four-night excursions aboard the ship.
