With the reinvigorated love for home improvement decoration—that came about once the initial shock of the first lockdown in March 2020 had subsided—came the obsession with scented candles. But if you like to stick to the classics—those tried and true names that have a certain history and prestige, then perhaps the definitive name in the world of scented candles is French parfumerie Diptyque. Founded in Paris in the 1960s, the brand is known not just for their candles, but also for their eau de parfum and eau de toilette. They're particularly famous for classic scents like Baies, Figuier, and Fleur de Peau, but for the Christmas season, Diptyque is giving their candles a festive twist.
The Diptyque Holiday Collection features a gorgeous selection of scented candles as well as a reed diffuser, both of which that are unmistakably true to the brand’s no-frills philosophy, but also fit for the festive season. They make great gifts for your loved ones or just great additions to your home, especially for the holiday season.
The collection includes a limited-edition three-piece set of scented candles, each inspired by winter time. Looks-wise each candle in the set features white wax encased in a cylindrical glass jar, which is itself finished off with rich colors and gold accents. You can choose from three scents: Flocon is made up of velvety notes of white musk and mimose—an olfactory interpretation of snow while Biscuit goes for a more festive blend with spiced fragrances enhanced by patchouli and Sapin emits a mountainous scent with notes of pine and wood. They’re available in 70- and 190-gram sizes or as a complete set of three.
In case candles aren’t your thing—or you just already have too many—you can also go for the home fragrance reed diffuser. The decorative piece is refillable with any of Diptyque’s three emblematic scents: Baies, Roses, or Tubéreuse.
