Diana Zubiri recently shared her disappointing experience visiting a luxury designer boutique in Adelaide, Australia. In a vlog entry titled "We Were Ignored at Louis Vuitton," the actress recounted how she and her mother-in-law felt snubbed by the store's staff, who seemed uninterested and disapproving of their casual attire.

Diana detailed the incident which happened inside a Louis Vuitton store, sharing,"Nakapang-workout gear lang ako tapos ‘yung mother-in-law ko rin hindi masiyado, alam mo na, typical na Australian, simple lang ‘yung damit. So pumasok kami sa store na ‘to, nagtanong kami, nag-inquire kami magkano kasi walang presyo, tapos hindi kami pinapansin."
"Tapos ‘yung pangawalang tanong namin, sabi ‘You wait for your turn until may bakante, ganyan.’ Naintindihan naman namin pero parang sana maayos lang ‘yung pagkakasabi kasi it’s not maayos, na parang nagmamadali sila, na parang hindi sila interesado samin kasi ganon lang ‘yung itchura namin. Ganon ‘yung na-feel ko," added the actress, noting her disappointment with the unfriendly treatment, which led them to decide to just leave the store.
The following day, channeling a Pretty Woman moment, Diana dressed up for another visit and noticed that "the service was much better" when she came back to the store.
This is not the first time Filipino celebrities opened up about facing discrimination at luxury stores abroad.
In 2019, Regine Velasquez shared a similar experience at a Louis Vuitton store in New York City. Last year, Sharon Cuneta revealed being "turned away" from an Hermès store in South Korea but receiving a warm welcome at a nearby Louis Vuitton establishment.
