When you think of Filipino flavors, ube is likely among those that first come to mind. Its telltale nutty taste is truly one of a kind, and the purple yam can be had in both sweet and even savory ways. We're sure you've had your fair share of ube ice cream, cakes, or pan de sal—but this time around, you can try out ube in a boozy new light. Local hand-crafted spirit brand Destileria Barako and its distillery-bar Agimat at Ugat Foraging Bar have recently come out with the Ube Cream Liqueur, which has also been awarded internationally!
Check out the snazzy purple bottle below!

The Ube Cream Liqueur combines sugarcane vodka from Negros, full cream, and purple yam for a creamy libation that'll open your eyes to just how versatile the tuber can be. Best served chilled, it can also be had on the rocks, as part of a shooter, or even poured over halo-halo for a boozy twist! It's also garnered international attention, having received Double Gold and Philippines First Product Innovation awards at the 2021 SIP Awards in California. The SIP Awards is said to be the only internationally-recognized consumer judging spirits competition, which highlights the voices of discerning customers.
