The Hallyu effect has people flocking to South Korea, and Filipinos are definitely no exception. While the East Asian country is chock-full of sights for K-drama and K-pop enthusiasts, South Korean visa holders can make the most out of their document even outside of its peninsula.
Like with the United States and Japan, the South Korea visa holds a unique power of its own, as it also allows access to other countries. Below, see the other two countries you can visit—but as usual, always check with the respective embassy first.
1. Georgia
Passport holders with a valid visa for South Korea and other states in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are exempted from visa requirements. Travelers can enter Georgia without a visa for 90 days in any 180-day period.
2. Panama
Passport holders with a multiple-entry visa with six (6) months of remaining validity for South Korea, Australia, Canada, Japan, the US, the UK, Singapore, or EU states can stay for a maximum of 30 days.
