It took Korina Sanchez-Roxas a visit to 30 different houses in Makati before she finally decided to rent a 400 sqm unit in Taguig where she could keep her prized possessions—her collection of priceless artworks and antique furniture. According to Korina, the eclectic Asian-designed space that now serves as a second home for her and her presidentiable husband, Mar Roxas, is reasonably priced, has an actual garden, and has more than enough space for her precious possessions.
Take a look.

Korina and Mar live in the Araneta family compound in Quezon City, so this condo unit is mostly used as a weekend haven. It is furnished with a uniquely shaped tufted sofa, and a coffee table made from stone and wood.

Korina didn't want to rent a condo unit because she wanted to have her own garden. Luckily, this particular one came with a spacious outdoor area.

The lanai is furnished with a wooden screen, a floor lamp, and furniture pieces meant for the outdoors.

The powder room is completed with framed nude sketches by great Filipino artists. Korina's collection includes artworks by National Artists for Visual Arts Fernando Amorsolo, BenCab, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Jose Joya, Onib Olmedo, Malang, and Juan Luna. Wow!

At the center of the dining room is a Brand Van Egmond chandelier that hangs above the dining table and twelve chairs. She first saw the piece in Germany but decided not to buy it. But you know you really need something when you still think about it even after you leave. In fact, she couldn't sleep because she knew that it would be the perfect addition to her dining area.

Although most of Korina's clothes and shoes can be found in their Quezon City home, the rest of her clothes for everyday use and special occasions can be found in this walk-in closet.

Korina personally decorated the master’s bedroom by mixing old and new furniture.
Hmm, wonder what tweaking she would do to the interiors of Malacañang if her husband wins the elections this May.
