In a surprising twist of events, major luxury brands Celine and Bulgari seem to have chosen to distance themselves from BLACKPINK's Lisa, causing a stir among netizens. This decision comes in the wake of the K-pop sensation's personal and fanbase Weibo accounts being suspended, following her controversial performance at Crazy Horse in Paris.

Weibo, often referred to as "China's Twitter," is a widely used social media platform in China, where users can post and interact with short messages, images, and videos. With millions of active users, it serves as a crucial space for celebrities, brands, and influencers to connect with their audience and share content.

Lisa, who's a global ambassador for luxury fashion houses Celine and Bulgari, had her Weibo account suspended after a much-hyped performance at a Parisian cabaret. Shortly after, both brands have also erased any trace of the artist from their official Weibo accounts, leaving fans shell-shocked and sparking a discourse on China’s censorship laws.

Efforts to search for Lisa on Weibo now yield zero results, whether it's her name, her account handle (lalalalisa_m), or even terms like "global brand spokesperson" and "global brand ambassador" in Chinese. This move suggests potential implications for the brands' future campaigns featuring Lisa in China.

Furthermore, the Weibo accounts of Chinese actresses Angelababy and Baby Zhang now bear notices stating their bans, citing "violations of the law and related regulations." This action came in the wake of their attendance at Lisa's Paris performance and the ensuing public outcry.

For now, Lisa's dedicated following can still keep abreast of her updates via Instagram, where she boasts an impressive following of over 98.5 million.
