The Grandest Celebrity Weddings of 2023
1. Alodia Gosiengfiao
The Philippines' Queen of Cosplay Alodia Gosiengfiao earned a new title this 2023—she officially became Mrs. Christopher Quimbo!

Garbed in an exquisite dragon-inspired gown by Mak Tumang, the bride walked down the aisle as visuals of a moon rose behind her. For the fantastical fete, Gideon Hermosa spun the venue into an enchanting landscape with floral arrangements and lights hanging from the ceiling. What a start to happily ever after!

2. Verniece Enciso
Soon after, Verniece Enciso, one of Alodia's close friends and bridesmaids, also tied the knot. She was every bit a princess in her magnificient Michael Cinco gown, which was dotted with beads and had a glamorous fur train. Gideon once again waved his magic wand and turned the style influencer's church ceremony into a dreamy winter wonderland.

3. Maine Mendoza
After a year-long engagement, Maine Mendoza said "I do" to Arjo Atayde in late July. Cooped up at the Alphaland Mountain Lodges in Baguio, the actress was a chic bride in a strapless column dress by Lithuanian designer Romona Keveza. The affair had a "no pictures policy" among its guests, ensuring an intimate union for the couple and the safety of everyone else in attendace.

4. Maja Salvador
A mere couple of days after, it was Maja Salvador's turn to get hitched on a grand scale. With a star-studded guest list, she exchanged vows with Rambo Nunez at a scenic destination wedding held at the Apurva Kempinski in Bali, Indonesia.

There's no denying how ethereal Maja looked in her lace-embroidered Zuhair Muhad frock. Though, did you know that this wasn't the first time that the two got wed? In an exclusive interview, the bride revealed to Preview that she and Rambo actually had a secret civil wedding held on Valentine's Day earlier this year!

5. Glaiza De Castro
Coincidentally, Glaiza De Castro also opted for a second ceremony with her husband, and also decided to hold it by the beach. Hers had a Filipiniana theme, as signified by her terno wedding dress by Jo Rubio.

Right as the sun was setting, the Zambales beach was made more sublime with a Gideon-ized touch. Golden ferns and wooden acccents lined the aisle as Glaiza walked towards her husband David Rainey. Such elements were also present at their reception afterwards.

6. Pia Wurtzbach
With no one else but a presider and a photographer accompanying them, Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey said their vows on a pristine private island in Seychelles (FYI, it's reported that booking such a location costs at least a million pesos.) The bride wore a lace gown by Bessie Besana, while the groom had on a traditional Scottish kilt. Both of them were barefoot on the sand as they shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Awww!

7. Dominique Cojuangco
Many brides seem to have favored exclusive nuptials this 2023. Serving as proof is Dominique Cojuangco, who married Michael Hearn in an ultra-private ceremony held at the National Museum. Fun fact: Her Elie Saab wedding dress was also worn by Son Ye Jin!

8. Ella Pangilinan
Choosing to hold her big day at the Puerto Real Gardens within the walls of Intramuros, Ella Pangilinan was the most exquisite bride.

Teddy Manuel adorned the venue with powdery-white florals that suited its regal atmosphere. At the center of it all was Elle, who was a vision of true Filipina elegance in her Rajo Laurel terno dress.

9. Lovi Poe
Despite the sudden downpour, Lovi Poe was still the most gorgeous bride as she became Mrs. Monty Blencowe. The ceremony, held al fresco at the Cliveden House in London, instantly transported its guests to the regency era.

Since she was overseas, Lovi made it a point to represent her hometown by donning a Filipino designer for the occasion. With the help of her stylist Adrianne Concepcion, she settled on a grand Victorian-inspired ball gown by Patricia Santos.

10. Janeena Chan
Closing out this year's line-up of star-studded nuptials was Janeena Chan, who themed her ceremony after the yuletide season. The hostess was all dolled up in a bustier gown by Daniel Manila Createur, making her a stunning sight as she sauntered in between lit-up Christmas trees.
