Think you’ve seen everything in Hong Kong? Think again! Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has just unveiled its latest wax figure, and we couldn’t be prouder to be Filipino—it's none other than our very own Miss Universe 2018 and Preview March 2023 cover star, Catriona Gray.
The statuesque beauty now joins the ranks of fellow Filipinos Pia Wurtzbach and Manny Pacquiao, who also have lifelike figures displayed along with international icons like actress Audrey Hepburn, renowned artist Yayoi Kusama, music sensation Lady Gaga , and K-drama star Kim Soo Hyun.

Immortalized donning a replica of her fiery lava gown by Mak Tumang, the resemblance is truly uncanny—from her Philippine flag-themed ear cuff to her Jojo Bragais shoes. But what will truly amaze you and spark Pinoy pride is her favorite detail of the wax model, which she pointed out during the launch held last August 30. If you'll notice, the figure captures Cat in the evening gown competition, prior to winning the crown. "I'm actually wearing the Philippines sash," she shares proudly.
A traveler just like Catriona, her wax figure flew from Singapore to Hong Kong, attracting locals and tourists alike. Fans made their way to The Peak despite of storm warnings to catch a glimpse of the two Catrionas, and it didn't disappoint. The real Catriona, clad in a tailored tube top and flared tafetta bottoms, was as engaging and gracious as always. She even hosted a mini pageant with Nicole Andersson and fans got a masterclass on the lava walk before they made their bid for the title.
So if you're visiting HK soon, make sure to drop by Madame Tussauds. Even if the real Catriona isn't there, you're still sure to have fun getting up close and personal with your idols. Unlike any of its counterparts abroad, the Hong Kong museum was designed to be interactive. The models are positioned in a way that allows you to easily integrate yourself for photos. You can even get crowned by Pia or do a heart sign with Bae Suzy!
Catriona even had the best suggestion for Preview girls and boys as to why a stop at the museum fits any itinerary: "We're here at The Peak, so you can get great food, have a great view, visit some of the icons in Madame Tussauds, and make a day out of it."
