It's so picturesque!

An itinerary of the Mountain Province often includes a day when you wake up extra, extra early, do a bit of trekking, and catch the sun rising on a sea of clouds. If you're not an early riser and can't prepare fast enough, chances are you'll completely miss the spectacular view of the gradient horizon. The itinerary will then be adjusted just take a chance on catching it on another day, or completely extend the trip.

Two hours away from Baguio City, there's Burton's Cabin & Yard in Atok, Benguet. There's no need to try your luck because this cozy accommodation offers front-row seats to a sea of clouds. The price starts at P4,500/night for four people, with an additional P500 per head for larger groups.

Check out this cozy accommodation in Atok, Benguet:

Burton's Cabin & Yard is the quintessential cabin: a medium-sized house made of wood that's located in a remote area, which in their case, is atop a hill. When the weather permits, the cabin serves as your private place with front-row seats to a sea of clouds—plus a majestic view of Mt. Pulag, the highest mountain in Luzon, and Mt. Timbac.

Surrounding the cabin is the wide and open garden, which makes for Instagram-worthy photos. Don't forget to take selfies among the colorful flowers, such as calendula, gumamela, bougainvillea, Dusty Miller, and Gazania. The yard also has succulents and other crops, which thrive in the cold weather of the Mountain Province.

Checked-in guests are free to roam around the yard and take pictures as much as they want, but it's important to note that the yard itself isn't only for the guests. Other visitors can enter the yard for a fee of P100/adult and P50/kids aged eight to 12 years old.

When you're ready to rest, the cabin has two queen-sized mattresses (that fit two people each) located on the second floor. And when hunger strikes, the place is equipped with kitchen essentials like a refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, gas stove, and rice cooker—plus kitchen utensils, drinking water, and coffee to keep you warm.

Aside from coffee, there are other ways to stay warm too. The bathroom or the comfort room has a heater for hot baths and there's also a fireplace in the living room. The firewood for the first set is free, but there's an additional cost for the succeeding sets of wood.

As much as anyone would rather spend the entire vacation inside the cabin, away from the chaos and stress, the cabin is near other tourist destinations. A seven to 10-minute drive takes you to the Sakura farm, while a 10 to 15-minute drive brings you to the Northern Blossom. These destinations are near enough that it won't take hours on the road, and near enough that you can quickly leave if you've had enough "going out" and would rather cocoon yourself in the cabin once more.

Burton's Cabin & Yard is in Englandad, Paoay, Atok, Benguet. Rates start at P4,500. For more information, follow Burton's Cabin & Yard on Facebook.
