It’s no secret that Instagram has evolved into a platform that not only connects people but also serves as a lucrative source of income for celebrities and influencers around the world. The power of engagement has now become a commodity, and Asian celebrities are taking center stage.
Case in point: Lisa from the renowned K-pop group BLACKPINK has emerged as the highest-paid Asian celebrity on Instagram, securing the 26th spot on Hopper HQ's Instagram Rich List. Wow!
Hopper HQ's Instagram Rich List is an annual compilation that provides an overview of the earnings of high-profile individuals on the platform. In its 2023 edition, all eyes are on Lisa, who has solidified her status as the highest-paid Asian celeb with a staggering 59.8 million followers on Instagram and $575,000 (approximately P32,565,125) earnings per post.
Following Lisa is K-drama royalty Lee Min Ho, who ranks 55th on the list. Known for his roles in the hit South Korean series The Heirs and Boys Over Flowers, the actor generates $200,000 (approximately P11,327,000) per Instagram post.
Meanwhile, the top spots are dominated by Hollywood stars, such as singer-actress Selena Gomez, reality star and business mogul Kylie Jenner, as well as football sensation Lionel Messi.
Of course, Lisa didn’t grow her massive influence overnight. In fact, she started her career at the age of 13 when she was offered to be a trainee under YG Entertainment. Six years later, she debuted as part of the four-member girl group BLACKPINK, which has solidified its position as one of the most prominent K-pop acts of all time.
Way to go, Lisa!
