Years after Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s Nick and Audrey Spitz shook the shores of Europe, the married duo is now taking their mystery-cracking skills to Paris. And of course, chaos ensues.
Following its 2019 film, the literal partners-in-crime is setting their sights on the City of Lights in Murder Mystery 2, but not without the trouble that oddly follows their wake. After solving the mystery that plagued their new-found friends (and foes) on the European coast, the couple’s sleuthing skills are put to the test again, when their pal Maharajah Vikram (Adeel Akthar) gets kidnapped during his wedding festivities.
While many of the Indian wedding scenes are filmed in Kualoa Ranch on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, the cast and crew also found themselves returning to their European roots in the French capital. From January to April 2022, Murder Mystery 2’s production team filmed across several notable sights in Paris, including the Arc de Triomphe, Palais Garnier, the Eiffel Tower, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, and the Pont des Arts bridge.
“Shooting in Paris was everything you can imagine. It’s the most magical, beautiful city, and the people are so lovely,” Jennifer said. “I think Adam walked every single street that exists in Paris.”
The duo might not know where they’ll land in a potential Murder Mystery 3, but they’re still reeling from their adventures at the famed romantic city. In a media roundtable with Preview, Adam and Jennifer dish out what their favorite spots in Paris are–and what’s best for first-time travelers, for your itinerary’s consideration.
