American record producer and Selena Gomez's boyfriend, Benny Blanco, recently posted a Tiktok video of him dissing Jollibee after trying it for the first time. Naturally, Filipino netizens were not happy about it. While we can all agree that not everyone has the same food preferences, many users found Benny’s behavior and comments in the video disrespectful.

In the video titled “my first time trying jollibee,” Benny Blanco reviewed different Jollibee food products, including the fast-food chain's fried chicken with adobo rice, spaghetti, pineapple juice, fries, and peach mango pie.
At the beginning of the video, Benny mentioned how his stepmom is actually from the Philippines and how he grew up eating a lot of Filipino food.
Trying the adobo rice first, he commented, “Look at this dry *ss adobo rice. Sorry, this dry *ss adobo rice. [It] tastes like butt."
Moving onto the fried chicken, he dipped it into the gravy and took his first bite. He gave it an approving nod before saying, “I’mma tell you one thing. I really think the gravy is just tricking me. [The] chicken's not even that good. [The] gravy is fire, [but the] chicken is actually kinda soggy as f*ck."
He wasn't impressed with the spaghetti either, saying, “Alright, what the f*ck is this?” He then proceeded to make gagging sounds. “All right, this sh*t smells like f*cking vomit. It's spaghetti with, like, little hotdogs in it and like cheese. What the f*ck? Let me get a fork," he said while covering his nose.
After taking a bite of the spaghetti, he then proceeded to spit it back out directly into the pan of spaghetti.
As a result, netizens were furious and began leaving negative comments on Benny’s post.
Netizens React to Benny Blanco Dissing Jollibee
“It’s okay if Jollibee isn’t your thing, but there’s no need for disrespectful comments. Everyone has different tastes and preferences,” commented one user.
“The audacity to spit perfectly good food while many don’t have any on their table,” added one netizen.
“That’s crazy, I’m actually speechless. The disrespect is insane,” said another.
While many negative comments were said about Benny Blanco’s review, some netizens found the negative response over the top. “Medyo OA tayo dito na part. He seems to enjoy naman except sa spaghetti which is very expected kasi iba nakasanayan nilang spaghetti. Don’t be so snowflake. Wrong lang talaga yung pag spit mismo sa [spaghetti] pero that’s him. Wala na tayong magagawa dun,” replied one netizen on a post made about the record producer’s review.
Another also tweeted, “Not everyone is going to like Jollibee. Suck it up,” to which a user replied, “No one is forcing you/him to like Jollibee. That mad disrespect [for] food is just evil. People are dying of hunger."
