On Monday, March 11, the Baguio City Public Order and Safety Division went viral after posting a lost-and-found notice for a missing shoe. Deciding to take a more creative approach, they transformed the search for the missing pair into a modern-day Cinderella story by posting a poem that caught the attention of netizens. Like the fairytale, this modern story had a happy ending, as they eventually found the owner of the lone sole!

The poetic notice began with the lines: "A lone sole seeks its missing mate, a crimson kiss upon its fate. Four inches high, a daring stride, Size forty-one, where could it hide?"

According to the poem, the shoe in question was discovered by enforcers at the O-shaped bridge just before 2 pm. Instead of conducting a door-to-door search, which would be time-consuming, the Public Order and Safety Division opted for a more efficient and imaginative approach, issuing a call for the owner to come forward and claim their lost "treasure."

Netizens React to Baguio City's Lost-and-Found Notice for Missing Shoe
Netizens, impressed by the creativity, couldn't help but share the post. They even left tons of praise for the author.

Thanks to the creativity of the post, the owner of the lost shoe was eventually found. Pamela, a visitor from Nigeria, was found to be the owner of the missing shoe. After seeing the viral post, she made her way to the Public Order and Safety Division's office, which led to them posting another equally creative update, titled "CINDERELLA 2.0 UPDATE!"

It read, "Oh, lonesome slipper, thy owner we sought, Our dauntless pursuit was not for naught. At long last, the rightful claimant has come hither, To reunite the left to the right slipper."

We love a happily-ever-after!
