An unknown man had looked through her belongings while on a plane, she said.

Even at 30,000 feet in the air, crimes can still happen—take it from Filipina actress Arci Muñoz, who shared the details of an alleged theft while onboard an airline’s Business Class section.

In a TikTok video uploaded in November, the actress detailed an incident that happened during her layover flight from Japan. While onboard a Korean Air flight bound for Incheon, South Korea, Arci recalled an unknown man, well-dressed and garbed in luxury wear, reaching out for a magazine in her Business Class cubicle minutes before landing.

“So ako naman inisip ko lang na baka wala siya 'nung magazine na nandoon sa cubicle ko,” she thought. However, a woman had interrupted the stranger rifling through the cubicle, and asked Arci if she knew the man.

“And I was like, ‘no,’” Arci recalled. “And she stood up, tapos she confronted the man. Sabi niya, ‘Why did you touch her bag?’”

It was then that Arci realized that her bag was on the floor, already near the aisle.

“We called the flight attendant and the woman na nakakita, she said na ginalaw niya 'yung bag and that's not right,” Arci said. “And then the guy, dine-deny niya.”

In the video, Arci explained that she didn’t notice that anything was missing inside her bag, as her credit cards were all compiled. Days later, she received a notification for credit card transactions in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and Jakarta, Indonesia. The actress surmised that this was a modus operandi for in-flight theft.

According to the actress, she was able to notify her bank about the incident before the situation worsened.

“I left my email with [Korean Air] because I was not able to report,” Arci said. “I hope to hear from you guys and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, because if he did this once for sure he's gonna do it again. Not until we do something to stop it.”

As a parting message, Arci reminded her viewers to stay vigilant. “I'm doing this video to warn you na it's a dangerous world out there,” she explained. “Akala ko sa movie lang nangyayari 'yung mga ganito.”
