Filipino excellence once again decks the halls of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong with the addition of Anne Curtis' very own wax figure. The multimedia star introduced select VIPs and members of the press to her likeness at an unveiling held on the morning of November 27.
The spitting image of the multimedia darling, her wax figure wears an outfit that's undeniably Anne-coded. In a quick chat with Preview, she walks us through the figure's look, breaking down the significance of each element.

The "it" girl's replica donned a sleeveless Dior frock that had a ribbon cinching the waist and delicate lace lining its hem. Adding a luxe touch to the little white dress was an array of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a key-shaped necklace that Anne adores.
And in case you were wondering, the wax figure is wearing the exact pieces Anne herself wore to a Tiffany & Co. event last July 2023! They chose this look given its "timeless and elegant" appeal, Anne says.

Even the figure's pose bears great significance. Clutching a black microphone and positioned in a demure stance, Anne's likeness represents the different disciplines she's been involved with throughout her career.
"In my 27 years in the industry, I feel that a microphone has been such a powerful tool. Whether it'd be [through] hosting, giving a speech as a UNICEF ambassador, doing my spiels as a TV host on It's Showtime, or even doing concerts at the Araneta Coliseum, it has been such a powerful tool for me," she expresses. "It really had to be part of my wax figure."

Suffice to say, Anne is incredibly grateful to be the first Filipino actress and TV host to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. In her own words, such a milestone reflects the Filipino people's capability to achieve their own aspirations.

"Whether it'd be through beauty pageants and fashion shows, or through acting, now is the time for Filipinos... It's about time that we make a name for ourselves on a worldwide stage," Anne declares.
