Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is adding yet another Filipino to the ranks of their prestigious halls, and the honor goes to multimedia superstar Anne Curtis!
Anne, who’s celebrating 25 years in the entertainment industry this year, makes history as the first Filipino actress and host to grace the attraction’s Hong Kong Glamour Zone. Her wax figure will be joining the likes of Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Chris Hemsworth, and Nicole Kidman.
“I was so happy, excited, and thrilled, but I couldn’t believe it as well. I felt like it was a dream come true,” Anne expressed in an exclusive interview with Preview during her measurement sitting. “I just passed my 25 years in the industry so it comes at a very good time in my career to celebrate, so I’m just so thankful and grateful to be given such an iconic moment.”
Pertinent details on her wax figure are being kept secret for now, but Anne promises that the outfit to be immortalized with her was taken from “an iconic fashion moment.” Her pose as well is set to be one that fans are most familiar with. Characteristic of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, it will, of course, also be interactive, giving visitors an experience to remember.
When asked for her message to her fans, Anne says, “I would like to invite all of you to come visit the other me at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong. Both of us are so excited to see you.”
As per the official announcement, her wax figure is now in production at the hands of the famous attraction’s UK team. It's set to be unveiled by the end of 2024.
While waiting, other local personalities Filipinos can visit now in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong are Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao, and Catriona Gray.
