In a live video she posted on her Instagram feed, Angie shared about the incident and how highway personnel were helping her address the situation. "Thanks for checking, I'm alive. The car is dead, literally gone. Caught on fire after the exit, it's gone, no words," she said.
"My lungs hurt. The car was on fire while I was driving it, then the car dropped down, then basically burst into flames," Angie detailed. Before the entire vehicle was consumed by flames, she was able to pull it aside and make an exit. She then mentioned how her Acura Nsx had just been remodeled. "It could be a multitude of things," she stated, pertaining to the cause of the fire.
In a Reel she posted this morning, November 8, Angie can be seen driving and talking about the Acura Nsx's specifications. The racecar driver shared the video to shut down any claims that the car overheated because she was driving too fast. As of the time of writing, no official reason has been revealed as to why the car caught fire.
Angie's peers and supporters, including Issa Pressman, Marc Nelson, and Karen Davila, wished her well and expressed their relief that she remained unscathed.

Angie's wife, Joey Mead King, also commented on her posts, writing, "Freak out much... Ay naku huney... glad you pulled over when you did." Other personalities such as Iza Calzado and Maggie Wilson also sent their well wishes.

We're glad you're safe, Angie!
