Andrea Brillantes isn't the type to take things sitting down. Although she still has insecurities and flaws like everyone else, the Gen Z star is never afraid to voice out her views and stand up for herself. She's been in the cutthroat industry for years now, after all, so the actress has now learned to rely on herself amidst harsh rejectins and hateful comments. She's not about to apologize for her burning brightly, either–if anything, she's beyond proud to be an outspoken lady at only 20 years old!
LOOK: All the Times Andrea Brillantes Proved She's a Strong, Independent Woman
1. We'll never forget about that time Andrea called out slut-shamers who judged her for having her bra visible in a photo. 15-year-old Andrea remained unfazed and calmly corrected naysayers for causing unnecessary fuss over a minor's underwear.
"Guys can wear super low bottoms and kita brief nila but no one would care," she penned in a lengthy post on Twitter. "I am not ashamed. Mas madami pang problema sa mundo na kelangan bigyan ng pansin sa bra ng isang 15 year old."
2. Ever the go-getter, Andrea doesn't hesitate to make the first move in her relationships. Months before Ricci Rivero officially asked her to be his girlfriend, Andrea actually slid into his DMs first! Plus, she was also brave enough to publicly invite her beau to prom during a BLACKPINK concert.

3. While we admire Andrea's initiative in relationships, some conservative netizens don't really share the same thoughts. Just last month, netizens shamed Andrea for promposing to Ricci first and being "papansin." Good thing Andrea stayed unbothered despite all the hate!

4. Fun fact: Andrea can actually do her own makeup and hair. No kidding! She used to doll herself up for ABS-CBN variety shows and magazine shoots during her teens.
5. Of course, this list wouldn't be complete if we don't mention Andrea's acting chops. The 20-year-old has a lot of showbiz awards under her belt, including PMPC Star Awards' Best Child Performer in 2013 and Urduja Heritage Film Awards' Best Young Actress in 2020.
6. Some are quick to assume that Andrea's simply a spoiled child star, but she's actually the breadwinner of her family. When she was only seven years old, she readily entered the entertainment industry in an attempt to ease her family's financial struggles. She even managed to buy a house for her family!
7. Showbiz aside, Andrea's also a clever businesswoman. Earlier this year, she launched her very own makeup brand and officially became the country's youngest celebrity CEO.

8. Andrea couldn't care less about bashers now, what with her numerous acting credentials and fast-growing fandom. As she once stated in an interview, her own happiness is what matters most: "Na-realize ko na you really can't please everyone. Ayoko pong baguhin 'yung sarili ko para sa kanila and gagawin ko lang 'yung gusto kong gawin."
