It's sometimes easy to forget that Andrea Brillantes is no longer the same little girl as when audiences first met her 12 years ago. While living out characters from fictional worlds may have created the illusion of time freezing, the feisty Pisces is not one to be contained in a perpetual child star mold. She's all grown up—but it doesn't mean she's lost the wonder of youth.

"Preview's July cover is about Blythe growing out of her child star phase," Editor-in-Chief Marj Ramos-Clemente reveals in a special episode of The Making Of. "But adulting doesn't have to mean letting go of fantasy. It's okay to have fun, play around, and channel your inner child," she further expounds, referencing to the cover's dreamlike theatrics that spotlighted Andrea as a 20-year-old woman.
"It's very Gen Z, very young. But at the same time, we wanted to do something that she's never done before," Creative Director Bacs Arcebal adds.
To bring this creative vision to life, dainty touches of femininity and surrealism were sprinkled on the set, as well as the beauty and fashion direction. Ginger Events Styling turned Studio LAJ into an ethereal dreamscape, while makeup artist Marben Talanay and hair stylist Dale Mallari transformed Andrea into a fantastical Gen Z heroine complete with pink hair and flushed skin.
Of course, what's a modern day damsel without her dresses? The Preview Styling team reached out to local designers Prince Padilla of Novel Worldwide, Abraham Guardian and Mamuro Oki of Ha.Mu, Joe San Antonio, Debbie Co, and Suki Jewelry, and checked out collections from Fendi, Melissa, Fray ID at Mitsukoshi, and Self-Portrait at Moressi for ladylike pieces that gently skimmed on the edges of soft goth.
Josh Tolentino then masterfully orchestrated the room's lighting as he captured each moment. The final touches came in another guise of incredible—AI.
