Fame and adoration are a few things that come with being a celebrity, but that stardom also comes with unsolicited criticisms and negative feedback from strangers. Alexa Ilacad, however, is one artist who isn’t going to take rude comments sitting down. That’s something that she’s made very clear on several occasions. Ahead, we’ve rounded up the best clapbacks Alexa had for her haters.
Alexa Ilacad's Most Memorable Clapbacks
1. Telling off a body shamer on her Instagram
In one of her Instagram posts, a netizen had left a comment on her photo saying that something was “off” with her body. The basher wrote, "Ang ganda mo pero may something talaga sa katawan mo na mejo off.” Alexa quipped back, “2024 na pero hindi ka pa rin aware na our bodies come in different shapes, sizes, and proportions? I'd suggest you hit the books before making comments that are very... 'off'.” Unfortunately, one comment wasn’t enough for the hater to back down. They replied to Alexa’s response, saying, “2024 na mukhang ang gusto mo lang na comment ay 'yung hindi 'off' para sayo? Dapat hindi ka nag-artista if you can't stomach the truth.” To which she replied: “What a dumb argument. Me being a celebrity doesn't give you a free pass to be rude.”

The actress then went on to share the interaction on her Instagram stories, with a caption that read, “Last time I checked, ang trabaho ko po bilang artista ay umarte, kumanta, sumayaw minsan, at magpasaya ng tao. (Which I love doing). Buuut it isn't part of my job description to tolerate rude comments like this. Constructive criticism—I accept with open heart, but this? Nah. Such a toxic mindset.”
2. Correcting a basher that told her to lose weight
Dear haters, if you’re going to bash somebody, make sure you’re doing so with proper spelling and grammar. Case in point: Alexa Ilacad had the wittiest response to a netizen telling her to “loose” weight. As a response, the actress simply corrected the sender’s spelling. LOL!
3. Shutting down nose job rumors
In 2021, rumors about Alexa getting a nose job started circulating when netizens noticed a scar on her nose in one of her photos. The then 21-year-old actress addressed the fake news, telling people to “chill out” because the scar was merely a result of her cat scratching her. “I just wanted some love but my cat said NOPE."

Despite shutting down these rumors though, Alexa clarified that there’s nothing wrong with wanting to go under the knife. She wrote, "There is nothing wrong with getting plastic surgery if a person wanted to. Periodtttt."
