On her way to the semifinals, she defeated three Grand Slam champions—Jelena Ostapenko in the Round of 64, Madison Keys in the Round of 32, and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals.
Against Jessica Pegula, Alex showed grit and determination, even taking a medical timeout for an ankle injury early in the second set. Despite pushing the match to a deciding third set, Jessica’s experience ultimately secured her the victory, setting up a final showdown against Aryna Sabalenka.

According to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), Alex’s deep run in the tournament has earned her a substantial payday. For reaching the semifinals, she is guaranteed to take home $332,160 (approximately P19 million).
Had she advanced to the final, she would have been assured of at least $597,890 (approximately P34.3 million), with the champion’s prize set at a whopping $1,124,380 (approximately P64.5 million).
