Are you planning a trip to South Korea and need a visa anytime soon? The Korea Visa Application Center Philippines (KVAC) announced that they will discontinue their online advance reservation system for visa applications starting January 2025. Here's what you need to know about this new policy.
Here's How This New Korea Visa Application Policy Affects You
Starting next year, there will only be three ways to apply for a South Korean Visa. Online reservations for application appointments will be phased out starting January 1, 2025.
Instead, prospective travelers to SoKor can submit their visa requirements through:
- Mail-in applications via WExpress
- Designated travel agencies recognized by the KVAC and South Korean embassy
- Walk-in applications

In addition to this, the KVAC reminds visa applicants to only transact with official travel agencies recognized by KVAC and the embassy. To view a full list of these agencies, you may visit their website.
The Korea Visa Application Center Philippines did not provide more explanation on this move but has simply said that they are "committed to providing excellent service during the transition period."
