Golden Globe-nominated actress Dolly de Leon is one of them!

Five Filipinas were named as part of Forbes Asia's third annual 50 Over 50 list.

This includes Golden Globe-nominated actress Dolly de Leon, peace negotiator Miriam Colonel Ferrer, Puregold co-founder Susan Co, Medilink CEO and president Esther Go, and Ayala Land CEO Anna Ma. Margarita Dy.

In the Forbes Asia writeup, Dolly, 54, was recognized for her achievements as the first Filipino to be nominated for the British Academy Film Awards and the Golden Globes for Triangle of Sadness, which won the Cannes Palme d'Or. The actress is also part of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and recently starred in two US-made films, Between The Temples and Ghostlight, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Miriam Colonel Ferrer, 64, was named for being the recipient of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award in November for her efforts in conflict resolution and inclusivity. "She fought against martial law in the '70s and became a key figure in resolving post-dictatorship armed conflicts. In 2020, she also co-founded the Southeast Asian Women Peace Mediators.

Forbes also named 52-year-old Esther Go, who has led the electronic health-tech firm Medilink, which has connected over 200,000 physicians with more than two million patients in the Philippines. She also serves as director of other corporations such as Equicom Health Services, Equicom Savings Bank, and Security Bank, among others.

Susan Co, 66, co-founded the supermarket chain Puregold with her husband, Lucio, with over 300 stores nationwide. Forbes also mentioned that she is vice-chair of Cosco Capital, a retail holding company involved in commercial real estate and liquor distribution businesses.

The magazine also recognized Anna Ma. Margarita Dy, 54, the first female CEO and president of property developer Ayala Land.

Released annually, this year's Forbes 50 Over 50: Asia List is the third to be released by the prestigious publication. Recognizing 50 women over 50 years old excelling in fields such as fashion, pharmaceuticals, finance, and the arts, this year's selection features women from over 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific.
