Tiktok has now become the best place for discovering helpful hacks, and a cool trick that's been making rounds recently is all about nails—French tips, to be exact!
This French tip hack was first made viral by Tiktok user Maria Zarkova, who made instant French tips just by using the back of her finger. She's apparently been doing her manis this way since she was a teen!
Many are in awe of it because flawless tips are usually not this easy to DIY, especially for beginners or those who have shaky hands. With this technique though, you're assured to have a flawless application in just a matter of seconds!
Later on, other Tiktokers recreated Maria's method by using other tools like a makeup sponge and a silicone sponge. That said, the option that people found to work best is a silicone stamping tool since it provides the best grip!
What we love about this is it's such a convenient technique that can be done on any nail shape and length (except on very short ones). You also have a lot of control over how thin or thick you want your tips to be. In just a few presses, you'll be getting the French tip of your dreams, and you'll find yourself wanting to do it for every manicure sesh!

Step 1: Prep and Prime
Nail polish will always cling better to fingernails that have just been cleaned, so grab your nail grooming tools and start reviving those fingertips. Once done, choose and apply your preferred base nail polish color.
Step 2: Stamp
On your desired stamping tool, apply a thick and even coat of your French tip color. Make sure to apply enough because if the varnish is too thin, it will dry easily and get clumpy. When ready, push the tip of your nail onto the stamper in a 45-degree angle so the nail polish doesn't go under your nail. According to the original Tiktok, the harder you push, the thicker the French tip will be!

Step 3: Clean and Seal
If you accidentally make a mess made around your fingernails, get a small, rounded brush and dip it in acetone to remove the excess lacquer. Once dry, apply your topcoat to seal everything in. (Tip: Apply the topcoat every other day to ensure longevity of the manicure!)
