Song Hye Kyo is set to return to the small screen this 2025 with Slowly, Intensely. The series, which marks the first time Hye Kyo will be working alongside fellow Korean drama star Gong Yoo, began filming earlier this month. While details on the plot are limited, the show's leading lady did debut a new haircut in time for filming, which suggests that she's settling into her character's style.

Given her massive influence within and beyond Korean entertainment, it comes as no surprise that many would want to try out her new 'do. Funny enough, salons in South Korea have caught wind of the rising trend—and they have warned their customers to think twice before copping the look.
Salons in South Korea Advise Against Getting Song Hye Kyo's New Haircut
In a radio show broadcast, host Park Myung Soo offered advice to a caller whose wife was thinking of getting Hye Kyo's new hairstyle.
"Are you not able to stop her? Don’t get that hairstyle! You won’t look like Song Hye Kyo even if you cut your hair short," he said in jest. He attests to the actress' distinct appearance, sharing, "I’ve never seen Hye Kyo in person, I’ve also never met a person who resembles her."

Around Seoul in South Korea, individuals have reportedly seen signages from businesses that read, "If you want Song Hye Kyo’s short hair, you have to first look like Song Hye Kyo." LOL!

Technically speaking, Hye Kyo's haircut is called a boy bob. The style usually ends right above one's chin and is called such given its semi-androgynous look. Think of it as your go-to bob cut but with a couple more inches chopped off. In our book, it's worth trying if you're looking to try something a bit more on the edgy side with your tresses.
