Similar to celebrities and influencers, socialites also encounter harsh criticism online despite being in the spotlight a lot less. Case in point: Socialite-vlogger Small Laude recently revealed that while she doesn't encounter bashers often, she has still received rude comments from netizens.
"I have [comments] lang before [like], 'You're so tabachoy.' But I know naman," Small shared in Soulful Feasts, the ANIMA podcast hosted by Stephanie Zubiri. "'You're tabachoy.' That's the worst."
Small further shared that she typically gets mocked for her appearance rather than her personality. She explained, "Sometimes, [they criticize] my appearance, like, 'Oh my gosh, you're so mataba.' Like that lang, but that's talagang wala [for me.]"

That said, Small insisted that she never felt bothered by those hateful comments. "Even I'm so fat, [I have] mga bulges, I don't even care! That's me," she stated proudly.
"Just be secure with yourself and just be your real self and no pretensions," she added, emphasizing the importance of embracing your authentic self. "People are very intelligent. You can't just fool them, they know if you're fake or real."
She also advised fellow ladies to focus on finding the silver lining during tough times. "I always look at the brighter side of life," she concluded. "Even [if] they said I'm fat, I'm so cute naman. I always look at the bright side. Happy ka pa. I don't like to be negative talaga."
Stay unbothered, Small!
