Contrary to the common practice of brides hiring a professional makeup artist for their big day, former actress Lexi Fernandez went the DIY route and had full control over her bridal makeup look.
A snapshot of her meticulously working on her makeup was uploaded on Instagram, courtesy of her mom, Maritoni Fernandez.

In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Lexi shared how much fun she had, especially since she did it with her loved ones. And she's excited to do it again for her Manila wedding.
Lexi said, "I enjoy doing my own make-up. Getting ready with my mom, Sasha (sister-in-law) and Kristina (bridesmaid) DIY-style was so much fun. And I would do it again for my Manila wedding!"
Lexi was confident in her skills, particularly because she has been handling her own makeup for quite some time. "I feel like I know my face best and if I mess it up I can't place blame on anyone but myself ," she said.

When asked about the inspiration for her bridal look, Lexi explained that she chose a "soft and simple" approach, perfectly aligning with the laid-back theme of her wedding.
Lexi said, "I wanted to keep it quite soft and simple, leaning towards more pinkish tones."
Did she go through some practice sessions to refine her bridal make-up look? She confidently said, "I did a trial once and that was it."

However, Lexi acknowledged that she sought assistance with her hairstyle. She enlisted the expertise of Nicky from The Hair Boutique in Exeter. She also had her hair cut and colored at Salon by Jomar before traveling to the UK for the wedding.
Lexi said, "I did get a hairstylist though because I am not the best at hair. Shoutout to Nicky from The Hair Boutique in Exeter! I also prepped my hair (cut & color) in my home salon (Salon by Jomar) in Manila before flying to the UK."
