When it comes to luxury, one name that automatically comes to mind is Heart Evangelista. From her clothes and accessories to the beauty products she uses, she clearly doesn't shy away from a worthy splurge. And while there’s a common misconception that a higher price tag automatically means better quality, there are also great products you can get for a steal—and even Heart can't resist an amazing product with great value for money.
Case in point: Last October 7, Heart made an appearance to celebrate Avon’s newest fragrances: Eve Truth and Eve Become.
The Affordable Perfumes Heart Evangelista Swear By
We all know Heart loves a good perfume—and she has quite a collection of fragrances coming from different designer brands. Avon’s Eve Truth and Eve Become, however, cost less than P1,000, making them a steal.
Talking about why she loves Eve Truth, she said, "It's very fresh. And it's really nice because, the thing is... I do love different kinds [of fragrances]. But the nice thing about Eve Truth is that it really mixes and blends well with the chemicals of the body, pH-wise.”
Eve Truth is a perky, floral-fruity scent. It was released in the Philippines last February 2023. The nose behind it was French perfumer Laurent Le Guernec, who has also created scents for brands such as Calvin Klein, Clinique, Dolce & Gabbana, and so on.
“Preferably, pag kinuha mo siya, i-spray mo siya, umikot-ikot ka sa mall, balikan mo, iba na yung amoy. So it's not like it's the same scent that you will get when you buy the bottle. It'll be different for each. They make it very unique, they make it very becoming as well," she continued.
Eve Become, on the other hand, has a more “orange-y zest,” according to Heart, thanks to its top notes of citruses, apples, and peaches.
"I feel like, you know, perfume naman is very symbolic with a person, individually—'yung essence ng kaniyang mood. And it's just captured in a bottle. Again, it smells wonderful but it'll smell even more unique. Different siya for each person. Kasi talagang magbe-blend siya sayo."
