We're still reeling from the Preview Ball 2023, which was a grand celebration of creativity and style. Our guest list included Filipino creatives from all walks of life, from actors, directors, and models, to makeup artists, hair stylists, stylists, designers—the list goes on! Each showcased their most imaginative all-white ensembles and had the most gorgeous beauty game to compliment their looks.
One particular star shone brightly that night: the first-ever Preview Style Icon awardee, Marian Rivera, whose makeup look was as fresh as ever, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Rick Calderon. Here’s how they achieved Marian’s beauty look for the night and the exact makeup products that she used.

Preview got the chance to chat with Marian’s makeup artist, Rick Calderon, who revealed that her beauty look was a collaboration between him, hairstylist Nante Alingasa, and Marian’s stylist Melville Sy. “We all agreed on a look that would compliment altogether, from hair to the styling. So we all decided to come up with a strong yet feminine look. A balance of both.”
When asked how he came up with the look, he answered, “Given the strong and feminine look we all agreed on, I decided to do a subtle glam on her. Starting from a subtle nude brown wing eyeshadow look, not too strong but you can tell that it’s a seamless structured wing shadow that lifts her eyes to the heavens. Then continuing with the look, I opted for a nude mauve look on her lip and cheek to make the look more feminine.”
To compliment her outfit, Rick created a structured winged eyelinger to match her structured Schiaparelli Padlock coat, and to match her satin dress from Shona Joy, he decided to pair it with a glossy nude mauve lip. Ahead we list down the exact makeup products that he used to achieve this look.
