Last week, Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez made the difficult decision of postponing their church wedding in light of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country. That said, the couple decided to tie knot anyway, opting for an intimate civil ceremony instead.
We've already sung our praises about Sarah's understated Mark Bumgarner gown, but that wasn't the only thing we loved about her look. The bride's elegant and minimal wedding glam definitely caught our eye, too. To catch all the details of her look, keep scrolling!
"My bridal makeup doesn't just depend on a pattern or a trend, it's custom—I create the look to fit each of my clients vision," Sarah's makeup artist Jelly Eugenio writes on an Instagram. "Through the years of working with Sarah, we have done a lot of looks—from the most sheer to the most dramatic. This one of course is the most special, and [I'm] glad we both agreed to keep it light, classic, and most importantly—young."
Now, the details. Jelly shared the key products he used to achieve the actress' wedding makeup, and you best believe that we took all the notes.
With the quickly rising temps, a lightweight base combo is key to a fresh base. According to Jelly, Sarah wore a gel-type moisturizer under her makeup, followed by a foundation with buildable coverage and a skin-like finish.

The minimalist vibe of the makeup also extends to the number of products involved. For one, the makeup artist used one bronzer multiple ways on the skin. "We didn't use any eyeshadow at all, the lids were bare and just swished with a little bit of my Teviant bronzer in Morocco, which I also used around the face," he says.

It may not seem like it, but Sarah is wearing falsies! The key to this natural effect are individual lashes, specifically styles that have both shorter and longer lengths to discreetly add volume.

Our favorite thing about bridal makeup looks is that you can wear your wedding lip color over and over—even every day, if you want to! For her wedding pout combo, Sarah paired a beige lipstick with a light pink lip gloss to add a soft flush of color and, of course, some shine.
