Rica Peralejo now feels liberated from body image hang-ups. In an Instagram post she put out last April 2, she talks about self-acceptance and empowerment emphatically with a photo of herself in a black-and-white striped monokini.

Her caption conveys shift in mindset reflective of Rica's newfound confidence and appreciation for her body's capabilities. She writes, "I used to hate my ‘fat’ legs and wished they were thin legs. Now all I pray for are strong legs. "I dont care how they look for as long as they take me to places where I want to go."
At 43, the celebrity mom's message is all about being free of the stress brought on by the expectations and judgments of others. Rica then encourages her followers to pay more attention to their inner selves and fulfill their own desires and needs.

She says, "The shift in your forties can both be sobering and stress-free at the same time and I love it. "I love how freeing it is to age and think of what others think less than what we actually want and need."
One Instagram user commends the former actress for challenging the status quo: "I really admire Rica for living an unapologetic lifestyle.

"Finally! Someone’s breaking the norm. Normal magsuot ng swimsuit! Ilang taon din akong nabuhay sa pag tatago na nag susuot ako ng swimsuit," one netizen wrote.
Hats off to you, Rica!
