Here’s How You Can Achieve Ria Atayde’s Fresh and Simple No-Makeup Makeup Look

With her fresh face and radiant personality, Ria Atayde effortlessly stands out in the crowd—even without makeup. While piling on layers of cosmetics for the camera is an industry standard, Ria chooses to keep it bare to a minimal on her off-days. "On a regular day kasi, I really prefer little to no makeup. I like saving my skin for when my skin needs to use makeup," she explains, citing how breakouts can result from using too much product on her sensitive skin.

In this episode of Beauty Basics, Ria walks us through her tried and tested fresh and simple no-makeup makeup. Opting for a barely-there makeup approach, her look revolves around enhancing her natural features while using products that are light-weight and high quality—so perfect for the summer! Press play and make her routine your own!

Step 1: Apply moisturizer.

You should always start with a nourished base and Ria reminds us to make sure the moisturizer sets first before layering on product.

Step 2: Dust on loose powder.

Turns out Ria also isn't immune to peer influence. She discovered this mineral foundation from a friend and has been carrying it eversince.

Step 4: Gently tap on blush.

Still need more convincing to try out Selena Gomez' makeup line? Ria swears by their blush to get that oh-so natural flush!

Step 5: Curl lashes.

While Ria no longer needs a mirror to curl her own lashes, veer towards caution as horror stories involving lash curlers are real. Remember her future sister-in-law Maine Mendoza's accident?

Step 6: Apply eyeliner.

While Ria swears by tight-lining her eyes, she cautions everyone to make sure that you don't overuse your makeup beyond their expiry date to avoid irritations such as styes.

Step 7: Put on mascara.

Mascara can really open up your eyes and is a must for even the simplest of makeup routines. For days you're feeling a little extra, make sure to swipe on to your lower lashes, too!

Step 8: Apply lipstick.

While Ria is a firm advocate of Lucas Pawpaw, she doesn't mind slathering on lipstick as long as it's as hydrating as this cult favorite from Charlotte Tilbury.
