If you’ve been following Kylie Verzosa on Instagram, you may have noticed that, in between all her beach trips, glamorous events, and photoshoots, she’s also been posting videos of her workout sessions at the gym.
“Role prep with @arnoldaninion,” she captioned in her most recent gym reel.
Currently, there aren’t any specifics on what project she’s preparing for, but it’s definitely something exciting to look forward to.
Still, we couldn't help but be curious about what her current fitness routine is like, so we checked in with Kylie’s personal trainer, Arnold Aninion, the coach behind the fit bods of celebrities such as Celeste Cortesi, Erwan Heussaff, Anne Curtis, and many more, to share with us some deets.

What is the goal for Kylie’s training?
"The goal for Kylie’s training has always been shifting, at times it's for weight loss, sometimes for muscle toning, and can also be skill specific (like fighting, running etc). I can’t really say what it is for at the moment, as we don’t want to pre-empt or spoil the surprise, but let's just say her preparation covers a wide array of principles and training methodologies so that she can cope with the ever changing landscape as well as the demands to be a success in today's entertainment industry," Arnold said.
He also revealed that they're currently focusing on rebuilding her lower extremities, which includes her glutes and thighs. They’re also working on making her shoulders, back, and abdominals more defined.
How often does she work out in a week?
"Initially training was a bit sporadic as she [had] commitments to taping and photoshoots," Arnold admitted. "But her accomplished professionalism filtered to her training and she has been training three to four times a week or as often as possible, and mainly in the evenings. So while you sleep cozy in your bed at night, she’s in the gym focused on her body," he continued.
What is Kylie's current exercise routine like?
Arnold likes to begin Kylie's workouts with 20 to 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity. “I have combined her training with steady state cardio on some mornings (not all the time) or a short cardio session,” says Arnold. He usually does this by making her walk on the stair climber or on an inclined treadmill.
This is then followed up by 60 to 80 minutes (depending on rest periods) of anaerobic activity through weight lifting. He makes her perform compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups at the same time, such as this leg press machine, which works the quads, inner thighs, and glutes.
This cable row exercise is another compound exercise which targets several muscles in the back.

Arnold uses a technique called progressive overload or hypertrophy training where they gradually add more volume to her workouts, "training the muscle till it's completely exhausted," he said.
“This style of training has garnered her a lot of new found strength and increased her muscular endurance. Most of what she is doing is new to her and it's part of our goals in expanding her gym IQ and really focusing on her form, tempo control, and time under tension, so she can reach the desired result,” Arnold explained.
Keep this in mind for your own workouts! And make sure to start with a weight that's comfortable for you and slowly work towards the heavier weights once you've built up enough strength.
When asked what it's like training with the actress, Arnold answered: "Kylie is a walking enigma and that’s what makes her unique, so training her is akin to controlling a wild tornado. She comes at you with a burst of energy and you gotta know how to channel that and hone in on her strengths. She’s an exciting athlete and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for her fans."
This really just goes to show how committed Kylie is to her training. So if you're looking for fitness motivation, Kylie is proof that it really takes effort and dedication to reach your goals.
