Here's the secret: You need to brush up the hairs with clear eyebrow gel BEFORE the whole kilay routine. This method creates an illusion of thicker, feathery brows and a lifted face—like I was born with a full set of arches. I find that filling in with a pencil alone creates a flat finish, which is far from natural-looking at all.
After brushing the hairs up, I draw thin strokes on the sparse areas using a slim eyebrow pencil or eyebrow ink. This step is essential in creating soft, natural-looking kilay.
