According to Heart, the procedure left her with “uneven” lips, which became the subject of netizens' bashing.

Cosmetic procedures are becoming more sophisticated by the day, and many celebs are shaking off the stigma attached to them. However, such procedures should always be done by a licensed professional, and even stars like Heart Evangelista have shared their own risky experiences of choosing anyone unqualified.

During an Instagram Live session later uploaded to TikTok by a user, the Filipina style icon admitted to getting lip fillers, although with displeasing results.

“I did get a lip filler. I just didn't want to talk about it because I was super traumatized,” Heart said, revealing that she “went against” Dr. Aivee Teo, her go-to dermatologist. According to the star, she had opted for an unnamed practitioner who was actually unlicensed to carry out lip filler procedures.

“I didn't do it with [Dr. Aivee]. I did it with somebody [who] was very, very close to me, but he didn’t have the license to do my lips,” Heart said. “But I trusted him. Kumbaga, budol na budol ako.”

After the procedure, Heart noted that it resulted in her having “uneven” lips and bruises, which, she says, was also the subject of unpleasant comments from netizens.

Hindi ko alam kung ano nilagay niya sa lips ko, but basically, uneven ’yung lips ko and you guys were bashing me about it,” she recalled. Heart returned to the same practitioner in hopes of having them fixed, but it resulted in little to no improvement.

“Never ako magpapabudol ever again. Technically, pwedeng-pwedeng [siya] makulong kasi wala siyang lisensya. Malpractice pa. I had pain,” she said. “I had a doctor take it out and fix it because it was really, really bad.”

The socialite concluded the anecdote, saying: “So, yeah, I did my lips before and I just couldn't tell you about it because I was in denial for a time. I really thought that mahal ako ng taong ’yun, pero na-malpractice ako.”

We hope you’re alright, Heart!
