In the past, Heart Evangelista has gotten candid about cosmetic procedures, underscoring that she sees nothing wrong with going under the knife. However, she does want to clarify that each part of her face has been kept au naturale, except for her pout. In a recent Instagram reel, she talked about having work done on her lips.
Heart Evangelista Admits to Getting Lip Enhancements
A couple of days before Paris Fashion Week officially began, Heart and her team went around the City of Light for some leisurely shopping. In their downtime, they found a photo of her August 2000 Candy Magazine cover uploaded by archivist 90s Kabaklaan.
Posing side by side with her 15-year-old self, Heart points out that, "Lips lang ‘yung naiba. Lips lang ‘yung pinagawa ko." She went on, expressing that she's simply "saying the truth."
"If you don’t accept [the truth], well, wait for judgment day. Because this is all real except [my lips]," she confidently exclaimed.
In regards to bystanders who question whether or not she's had other parts of her face altered, Heart says that she's willing to have a doctor verify her claim. She states, "Alam mo, one of these days, pupunta talaga ako sa doctor. Magpapa-X-ray ako."
The fashion darling emphasizes that only her lips have ever been retouched. "Hindi talaga. Mamatay man. Seryoso. Ito lang talaga," she says in finality.
Heart Evangelista “Traumatized” Due to Lip Fillers Done by an Unlicensed Practitioner
While she didn't specify what procedures she's had done, last year, Heart revealed that she previously got lip fillers, albeit to unsatisfying results. "I did get a lip filler. I just didn't want to talk about it because I was super traumatized,” she said during a 2024 Instagram Live session.
She recounted that she "went against" Dr. Aivee Teo, and had the procedure done with an unlicensed practioner she was close to. "I did it with somebody [who] was very, very close to me, but he didn’t have the license to do my lips,” Heart said. “But I trusted him. Kumbaga, budol na budol ako.”
That experience resulted to pain, bruises, and "uneven lips," which a doctor had to fix. “I had a doctor take it out and fix it because it was really, really bad,” she recounted.
