Celebrities like Heart Evangelista often rely on a dedicated style and glam team to create stunning looks for events. However, Heart takes pride in her ability to do her own make-up with skill and confidence.
Heart Evangelista On How She Does Her Own Makeup
The Kapuso star recalled to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that "Before when we started, I used to do noontime shows and variety shows. We didn't have glam teams. We did our own hair and make-up. And we [were] supposed to be on stage at 9:30 [a.m.] for rehearsals. Tapos diretsong live na yun."

Heart has mastered her make-up techniques through years of practice and with the right products and tools. When asked how long it takes her to complete a simple make-up look, Heart revealed, "On my own, super fast. I think in like 10 to 15 minutes, I can finish my make-up."
She added, "Basta nasa akin yung mga tamang make-up, wala akong problema." By saying "tamang make-up," she emphasized the efficiency of multi-purpose products. A customizable palette, for instance, can include all essential makeup products in one convenient package.
She said, "For me, ang pinakauna ko sigurong ide-design would be something that's for everyday use, like a nice shimmer, a nice cool tone, or maybe a nice pang-contour, puwedeng sa mata. Like an all-around palette. I would definitely go for something more classic and natural. But, of course, pagdating sa gabi, you can do it with a smoky eye. Nothing that a black liner can fix."

Beyond selecting the right products, Heart emphasized the importance of skincare, noting that clear, healthy skin should always be the top priority. A well-nourished complexion creates the perfect canvas for flawless makeup application. When asked about her skin-care routine, Heart said it begins with getting enough sleep.
"Definitely you have to sleep as much as you can. And I'm so busy, but I make sure that I really have at least minimum six hours. You need sleep."
Hydration is essential-not just on the surface, but from within as well. For Heart, something as simple as drinking water and using moisturizer make a significant difference.

"You need to drink lots of water. And then, I really make sure that I moisturize my face. I have the toner, I have the serum, I have the oil-base. Everything. I don't do a lot of layers, but I make sure that every night, kahit pagod ako, kahit maka-one layer ako, lahat ikakalat ko pati yung neck and everything. So yun talaga yung pinakamagandang prep."
"Because the next day, when you do your make-up, it won't sit as perfectly if you didn't, you know, have nice skin or dry yung skin mo or too oily. So yun siguro talaga yung importante."
