Gong Yoo has a new job. The Squid Game star is Tom Ford Beauty's new ambassador for the Asia-Pacific region, joining the likes of his fellow Korean actor Hyun Bin.
In a statement to the press, Gong Yoo expressed his enthusiasm for the role. "Tom Ford Beauty is redefining modern luxury for the 21st century and I am honored to be the new Asia-Pacific Attaché. I look forward to my new journey with the brand," he said.
As brand ambassador, Gong Yoo will appear in Tom Ford campaigns spanning from fragrance to makeup. His first project will be for White Suede, the luxury beauty brand's beloved musk-inspired perfume with addictive whiffs of leather and suede. The campaign will be launched this August.
Gong Yoo has been an acclaimed actor in South Korea for almost two decades. In the Philippines, he's best known for his roles in the zombie thriller Train to Busan and the 2007 K-drama Coffee Prince. In 2016, the actor top-billed the series Goblin, which remains one of the highest-rating K-dramas of all time.
