“The Gen Z blush trend,” she shares. “Ever since Kadenang Ginto with [my character] Marga, present na ako sa makeup trend na to! Haha!”
The Gen Z blush trend, also known as the W blush trend, was popularized on TikTok. As its name suggests, it's a beauty trend that rightfully puts the spotlight on blusher.
ICYDK, there are several ways to put on blush. Many of us grew up believing that blush was only supposed to be placed on the apples of your cheeks, but if there’s anything beauty trends have taught us, it’s that there really are no rules when it comes to wearing makeup.
As Andrea so aptly puts it, “Our generation is all about getting a bit wild with our blush. Instead of a subtle hint of color, [the gen Z blush trend is] about slapping it across your cheeks, up to your temples, and sometimes even onto your nose," creating a W-like shape across the face, "It gives this playful, youthful vibe that’s just so charming!”
Continuing to explain her love for the trend, she says, “It’s all about showing off your personality. You can get creative with different colors and placements, making it totally your own. Plus, it works for everyone, no matter your skin tone or face shape.”
