LOOK: Gabbi Garcia Reveals Her Secret to Avoiding a "Bad Hair Day" and Other Skin Care Tips
For the Unbreak My Heart star, the most important thing is how to best protect her skin and hair against the scorching heat of the sun. Gabbi begins with her choice of sunscreen, an item that is present in every summer skincare essential kit.
She relates, "Sunscreen, eto legit, I always have it every time I go to the beach, the Belo sunscreen, the spray one ha. I really like the spray one kasi it’s not sticky, and the smell is really good. Hindi siya yung feeling na parang you feel so sticky after you apply. There’s that feeling kasi, di ba, parang that icky feeling. But for this one, it’s really like, it stays, and it’s just there, parang it’s not bothering you."

Another tip from Gabbi: "No matter how much products you put on your face, if you’re not religious in doing [the beauty routine], wala siyang effects. So you have to stay committed when it comes to applying your skin care. You have to see to it that you do it day and night, and you go regularly to your derma para you see the full effect."
When it comes to hair ordeals, Gabbi swears by two things. "For my hair, I do it mga once a month. They [Pantene] have this collagen repair serum. It comes in a small tube that you can apply after you do your conditioner, and it stays there for like 15 minutes. And after that para kang nagpa-salon. But, of course, you also have to go to your salon, so it comes both hand."

The Kapuso actress goes on, "Feeling ko lang, the best thing to do in a salon ngayong summer time is to make sure that you get your hair treatments kasi it’s super hot, it’s humid. Our hair has a tendency to dry up, so make sure you get your regular hair treatments ngayong summer. Since summer’s coming up, of course it’s gonna be hotter, drier, and mas humid na. So I feel like you have to go to your salon regularly for your hair treatments to maintain your hair, para iwas damage."
Moreover, Gabbi believes that not drinking enough water can cause the skin to become dry and flaky, and can even contribute to bad scalp health, which is why she says, "Just keep yourself hydrated."
She continues, "Tsaka parang it comes with the products that you use. Hello, Pantene. Thank you, Pantene."
Finally, she proudly declares, "Wala akong bad hair day, si Mark kasi nandiyan."
The Mark she mentions is none other than Gabbi's long-time hairstylist, Mark Anthony Rosales. On March 8, 2023, Gabbi and Mark officially opened their venture as business partners—the fourth Marqed Salon branch located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
Gabbi's involvement is mainly on the creative side of the business. She says, "Actually, all the legwork talaga is with Mark. But, of course I contribute when it comes to visuals, when it comes to the branding of the salon."
For Mark, the partnership was "bound to happen" due to how long they have been working together. “Siyam na taon na kaming magkasama ni Gabbi at ever since naman, we’re like a team na. Kaya naging madali na nang magkaroon kami ng chance to have a business together. We started at the same time, we share the same milestones. We have been collaborating for nine years, and our relationship is not just a client relationship. Through the years, na-develop na siya into a family relationship."
