We often wonder: What is Ellen Adarna's beauty secret? She tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about them, which includes ultherapy, a non-invasive skin-tightening and lifting treatment.
"I am very low-maintenance. I’m not the type who likes to go and hang out in clinics and do all these procedures every week or every day, right? It’s only done once a year."
Instead, Ellen works on different aspects of everyday self-care, which she started to prioritize two years post-partum.
"Number one is diet and exercise and that’s it." She portions her meals and listens to her body when it comes to working out.
"Sometimes I do pilates, some days I do weights, some days I do cardio. I mix it. Whatever I feel doing that day or whatever I feel like my body needs," she said.
All together, Ellen’s definition of beauty goes beyond the surface. When asked what makes a woman beautiful, she said, "For me, I appreciate realness."
"You know I have to get to know the person, or get to talk to the person, or really know both the good and bad side of the person," she shares. "I find beauty in accepting and showing their yins and yangs. Nobody is perfect. If there’s good, there’s bad. Good cannot exist without the bad. People present themselves as perfect, and I hate it."
On that note, Ellen reminds ladies that beauty isn’t the filters on social media. "Accept the darkness that you have, appreciate it. Appreciate it like how you appreciate your light," she says.
