A woman’s body goes through a lot of changes during pregnancy. Some women say their bust cup size gets significantly bigger, their feet expand, their skin tone becomes uneven, and for some, their lips become less plump. For actress and new mom Sofia Andres, she’s said to have experienced the latter: a thinning pout.
In a recent Instagram post, Dr. Aivee Teo shared a photo of Sofia after her lip filler treatment at the clinic. The results obviously gave the actress a more youthful look instantly. “She started doing it in January. We had two sessions already,” Aivee shares in an exclusive interview with Preview.
The derm adds, “Women start to lose volume in our lips as we get older or after pregnancy, and Sofia wanted to do the treatment to bring back her old fuller lips.”
“This signature procedure is called Aivee Luscious Lip Fillers! It’s a 10 to 15-minute procedure involving injecting non-permanent hyaluronic dermal fillers into the lips to volumize, rejuvenate, and hydrate the lips to give it a natural pout,” the celebrity doctor adds.
Though there’s still a bit of a stigma behind invasive aesthetic procedures such as these, Dr. Aivee assures safe and natural-looking results when done right. “People are afraid of those unnatural and overdone duck lips we see on the internet. But the trick is just to enhance it! Just bringing back the volume you’ve lost or just rejuvenating it. The best part is that it’s temporary so if you don’t like it, it disappears in a few months. So it’s worth a try if you’ve always wanted fuller lips,” she explains.
Despite lip fillers lasting only temporarily, the derma adds that it’s always important to get any invasive or surgical procedure done by a board-certified plastic surgeon with years of experience to avoid a botched job—after all, your lips are a defining part of your face! But other than that, to quote Dr. Aivee, “You have all to gain and nothing to lose.”
