They say that dogs are a man’s best friend, so what better way to treat your BFF than with a high-end perfume? Case in point: Dolce & Gabbana just released their latest fragrance: Fefé, a mist for dogs, named after co-founder Domenico Dolce’s fur baby.
LOOK: Dolce & Gabbana Launches Luxury Dog Perfume

This $100 perfume (roughly P6,000) is encased in a glass bottle and encrusted with a 24-carat gold-plated paw. The fragrance even comes with an exclusive D&G dog collar, accented with a matching golden paw tag. The Italian fashion house describes the scent as an “alcohol-free scented mist” with notes of ylang-ylang, musk, and sandalwood. The scent may seem good enough for a person to wear, but just because it sounds like a good idea, does it mean that it is?
Is Dog Perfume Safe for Pets?
Dog perfumes are certainly not new to the market, but it is a first for luxury brands. And while Dolce & Gabbana has emphasized that the fragrance is alcohol-free, Safe Pet Cosmetics certified, and allegedly approved by veterinarians, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) still warns against using fragrances on pets.
Alice Potter, the senior scientific officer at the RSPCA told The Guardian: “Sometimes dogs can be anthropomorphised and the lines can become blurred between what dogs like and what we, as humans, think they’ll like.”
She explained how dogs rely heavily on their sense of smell to communicate and interact with their environment and the people and animals within it. “Therefore, we advise that strong-scented products such as perfumes or sprays are avoided, especially as some smells can be really unpleasant for dogs.”
Would you try this on your fur baby?
