Celeste Cortesi thinks it's high time people respect each other's decisions to undergo beauty enhancement treatments. In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the Miss Universe Philippines titleholder expressed her strong beliefs that people should be free to decide whether or not to undergo plastic surgery.
Having undergone beauty enhancements herself, Celeste openly admits to her choices. She said, "I do it myself and I never deny that. I've always been pretty much open about the things I do. Because I don't find anything wrong with that."
Celeste recently encountered online criticism from netizens who made derogatory remarks about her tattoos and claimed her "fillers are too obvious and look disgusting."
Despite the bashing, Celeste remains steadfast in her belief that people have the right to pursue whatever makes them feel beautiful and boosts their self-confidence.
However, she does hope for greater sensitivity among people, recognizing the potential harm that hurtful words can cause. She told PEP.ph, "I would just hope that, you know, people can be a little bit more sensitive because you don't know how much words can hurt somebody."
Celeste continued, "I mean, we're in 2023, come on! Everybody can do it! And again, like, it's your life. Your life, your rules. So, let's, you know, let everybody be free of doing whatever they want to do with their bodies. Let's just keep negative comments to ourselves.
