For many beauty lovers, mastering the perfect brow is an ongoing challenge. Remember when block brows were the ultimate trend? While that bold look works for some, we’ve since learned that the best brows are the ones tailored to each person’s unique features. Natural, hair-like strokes have taken center stage, and even beauty queens aren’t immune to brow struggles.
Case in point: Catriona Gray has openly shared that she lacks some brow hairs, even undergoing microblading to enhance her shape. Naturally, she’s developed a go-to routine to keep her brows looking flawless.
At the launch of Strokes’ Brow Artistry Collection at Uma Nota BGC last February 24, Catriona—the newest face of Strokes’ campaign—walked us through her exact brow routine. From filling in sparse areas to setting everything in place, here’s how she achieves her signature brows.

1. Prep and Clean the Brows
Catriona starts with a clean brow area, making sure there’s no residual foundation or product. “I like to make sure that there's no product there, which is why if I have done foundation first I will make sure that the brow area is clean of all products,” she shares. “I can just go in with foundation or concealer afterward because I just find that it allows the product to lay better,” she added.
2. Fill in Sparse Areas
To create a solid base, Catriona reaches for the Brow Duo Sculptor. “I don't have any base on the tail of my brow so kailangan kong i-draw talaga,” she explains. She applies a light layer of product to sketch out the shape, which can be built up for a more defined look.

3. Add Hair-Like Strokes
Next, she uses the brand's newest addition to their collection, the Microblade Pen Hybrid, which will be released on March 3. “This is when I'll also take into consideration: Do I want to do a straight brow today? Do I want to do my usual brow shape? Do I want to do a higher arch? Brows can really change your expression. They can make you mas fierce, mas sweet. So it's a little bit of an intentional choice.” She uses the precise tip for thin strokes and adjusts the angle for a thicker effect at the ends. FYI: She also loves using this pen as an eyeliner!

4. Set and Define
Since her brow hairs can get unruly, Catriona finishes with the Brow Fixer Gel. “I'll go in with the brow gel just to define and allow it to stay all day,” she says. If she wants extra longevity, she sets her brows with the Brow Definer Palette before applying the gel, especially when she’s dealing with oiliness.
