If you've never thought of throwing a skincare-themed bridal shower, then let celebrity stylist and bride-to-be Kimi Yap show you how it's done. In partnership with La Mer Philippines, she and her sister Boop Yap treated their closest friends and family to an intimate gathering full of games, drinks, and pampering at Raffles Makati.
First of all, how beautiful is this setup? Event stylist Gideon Hermosa transformed Raffles' Presidential Suite, filling it with lush greenery reminiscent of the brand's signature hue.
The dress code obviously had to match, so everyone came in various shades of green, save for Kimi who wore a cream monochrome suit. So chic!
"They [Kimi and Boop] wanted to treat their family and friends to a pampering day and have them experience the magic of La Mer, as a lot of them were curious about the brand or existing loyal users as well," says Erika Reyes, marketing executive at La Mer.
Hence, the guests had a chance to try and rediscover the brand's luxurious skincare. They were each given a facial called the Look of La Mer, which incorporates their essential products into a 20-minute regimen. It was the perfect opportunity to have everyone try the sisters' favorite moisturizer, the Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream, and Kimi's pick, The Revitalizing Hydrating Serum, and feel the difference themselves!
Of course, it wouldn't be a bridal shower without games! With La Mer goodies on the line, attendees played a little paper ring scavenger hunt and tested their Kimi-related knowledge in a round of "What Would Kimi Rather?" Honestly, if it were us, we'd do our best, too!
Needless to say, this bridal shower ticked all the right boxes. We're definitely taking notes for ours!
