As one could imagine, having such a stand-out 'do comes with some intensive maintenance. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Mikha gets candid about why she wanted to be a redhead, highlighting some of the challenges such a hairstyle poses.

With her family hailing from Cebu, Mikha is born with black tresses. The thought of having her locks colored a bright red came to her years ago. However, she had to delay the dye job, as she was still fulfilling the role of Elle in the TV series He's Into Her.

"Red is my favorite color. I actually had been wanting to dye my hair red since before [we released the song] Karera, way back before that pa," she said. Once filming for the show wrapped up, Mikha got the treatment done and eventually became the red-haired lass of P-pop. However, she soon realized that her tresses needed some extra attention now that they were tinted such a vivid color.

"Bawal ako mag-white tops 'pag pinagpapawisan. Tapos 'yung nails ko pag white or anything light, nagiging pink siya or red," she candidly states. Some hair dyes bleed and transfer onto clothes or other surfaces, especially when the treatment is freshly done. This is something Mikha attests to, especially after each retouch.
