In the Philippines, Bela Padilla has become a household name for her acting prowess. Since her foray into the world of showbiz, she has continually expanded her talents and skills from hosting to screenwriting, and even producing films. Just last year, she enrolled herself in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), a prestigious drama school in London, and now she’s broadening her horizons even further by becoming an entrepreneur. On September 9, Bela Padilla invited the media and esteemed guests to the Electric Garden in BGC for the launch of her new brand. Explaining the reason behind its creation, Bela said, “Over the last few years, as you guys may or may not have noticed, parang I've been going on the more creative side also. I don't just act anymore or shoot films anymore. I now release things that I love and want to share with people. So this is my latest offering to you guys.”
BELA by Bela currently only offers two simple but useful beauty products: a universal color-adapting cheek tint and lip balm.
In case you didn't know, Bela herself is a self-proclaimed beauty girl and lip and cheek tint addict. She says of the product, “I use it when I dive, when I work out, when I do all my activities. Basically, [I use it] when I tape, when I film my movies. I literally use it every day,” she said. “I've given it to my friends, everybody who knows me knows that I can leave the house with nothing on my face, but I need cheek tint talaga,” she added.
Although the launch had only two items, Bela made sure that these two products would be inclusive. For their campaign, they made sure to get models of different ages, skin tones, skin types, and textures—it’s even safe for kids and people with sensitive skin! “I'm the biggest testament to this product because I have really sensitive skin... It's color-adaptive. It adapts to your own pH level. So it will look good on everybody talaga,” she shared.
